This presentation will share strategies to enhance cultural and linguistic responsiveness through the conceptual framework of relational family engagement. Relational family engagement acknowledges that relationships, culture, and language are central to all learning and development. Families and preschool staffs cultural ways of being influence how they interpret the meaning of the behaviors, actions, and choices of others. Activities focus on identity, relationships, culture, and reflection in the context of home visits and classroom participation.
